Royal Troon

The Old Course at Royal Troon Golf Club ranks among Scotland's top links golf courses and provides real challenges with its winds and lush rough, its gorse and its broom, requiring straight and sure shooting. This course begins alongside the sea, running southwards in a line for the first six holes. Royal Troon is home to both the longest (601yds) and shortest (123yds) holes in Open Championship golf.

Prestwick

One of the oldest golf clubs in the world, Prestwick stakes its claim as the original host to the British Open in 1860. This classic links course is built on the rolling landscape between the beach and the hinterland, and hosts some unique natural obstacles including the River Pow and several sand dunes in the center for added challenge. There are also fish and other rare species in and around the river, so nature watchers will be delighted as they make their way from hole to hole.

Western Gailes

The numerous visiting golf legends from the current and previous century give credence to Western Gailes’ reputation as one of the game’s finest and more exacting courses the world over. Western Gailes is never other than an excellent test of true links golf, with undulating terrain and finely contoured greens that present variety and a memorable challenge.

Dundonald Links

When it comes to golf in Scotland, Dundonald Links has quickly become a “must-play” destination. Chosen to host the first stage of the European Tour Qualifying School from 2008-2011, Dundonald features everything you would expect from a world-class modern links course. Wonderful undulations, a generous helping of gorse bushes and–unlike many traditional links courses–areas that are framed by stunning pine trees make up this one-of-a-kind Scottish golf course.

Trump Turnberry Ailsa

Ranked Top 10 from Golf Digest's "World's 100 Greatest Golf Course”, the Trump Turnberry is set alongside the glorious Ayrshire coastline, with Arran and Ailsa Craig as a stunning backdrop. The Ailsa is one of the world’s most loved golf courses and has had the privilege of hosting the Open Championship four times, including the unforgettable 1977 Duel in the Sun.
